Rorschach test, also called Rorschach inkblot test, projective method of psychological testing in which a person is asked to describe what he or she sees in 10 inkblots, of which some are black or gray and others have patches of colour. The test was introduced in 1921 by Swiss psychiatrist Hermann Rorschach. It attained peak popularity in the 1960s, when it was widely used to assess cognition and personality and to diagnosis certain psychological conditions.

"The Rorschach test is commonly known as the Ink Blot test- a psychological test used to assess a person’s personality characteristics and emotional functioning. I’m sure we have all had a go at making our own ink blots."

This was my first Rorschach art. I used acrylic paint and applied the colour on one side of the paper. I placed a thread on top of the paint and then used the other side of the paper to fold. Then I gently pressed it and removed the thread carefully to give this effect.

This was my second try In Rorschach art, it wasn't successful as you can see. So, here are tips and tricks that I found out while doing this. firstly, make sure there is some amount of water not much, not less. Make sure you firmly press the paper so that the imprint on both sides equally. DO NOT use lots of water, your paint will basically drip and maybe even your paper might tear which will of course break your heart. So yeah these are thing you keep in mind while making your interesting Rorschach. And DO NOT hesitate in using different colours.

In my third art I used normal Rorschach art technique. I applied acrylic paint on one side with the help of a thread and gently pressed the other side of the sheet.

In my fourth art, I tried using water colours. I also mixed few colours to get different shades.I love the way all the colours have hugged each other and got settled.

In this I learnt how to use Rorschach art to create a silhouettes. I used three basic acrylic colours and a thread. I randomly applied the paint on one side and folded the other side and gently dragged the thread down to give this effect.

In this I again used similar technique to create a silhouette. I wanted my colours to match with colour paper I used for this one.

Reflection
